According to the present invention, the Pterocarpus indicus Willd extract inhibits the secretion of mast cells, which generate allergy at low concentrations, exhibits excellent anti-allergic effects in an animal model with allergy, and does not exhibit cytotoxicity, thereby being efficiently used as an agent for external application to the skin for preventing or treating allergic diseases and as a cosmetic composition for preventing or alleviating allergic diseases.
