The present invention relates to a composite material containing an aluminum hydroxide-carbon nanotube composite and a manufacturing method thereof. The composite material contains a heat conductive filler and an aluminum hydroxide-carbon nano tube, thereby having excellent heat conductivity and a great mechanical property. In addition, the composite material has substantially lower electric conductivity than that of a composite material containing a carbon nanotube so that the composite material of the present invention may be useful as a heat dissipation material in the field, requiring an insulation property.
