Provided is a multidrug resistant gram-positive bacterium antimicrobial agent containing a novel component which does not have tolerance to multidrug-resistant microbes as an active ingredient, and an external preparation containing the same. The multidrug-resistant gram-positive bacterium antimicrobial agent of the present invention contains an amphipathic compound having an HLB value of more than 9.5 and not more than 20 and having an acyl group as an active ingredient. In addition, the external preparation of the present invention contains the above-mentioned multi-drug resistant gram-positive bacteria antimicrobial agent.
