The present invention relates to a method for separating milk components, wherein proteins, sugars and minerals are separated into different fractions. Lactose in milk is first completely or partially hydrolyzed and then broken down into fractions from protein, sugar and mineral phase-wise nanofiltration. The resulting fractions can also be further processed by chromatography, membrane technology, and / or evaporation to further improve separation of the components. The invention also relates to low-lactose or lactose-free milk produced from these fractions. With the present invention, calcium and protein loss can be minimized. In addition, the calorie of the product can be reduced.;
