The present invention relates to a method for turning on a cold cathode fluorescent lamp to save electric energy. The method includes the steps of: raising a voltage of a stabilizer; dropping a voltage of input current while converting the input current into a direct current; increasing a frequency of direct current electricity; and discharging electrons in a discharge tube to cause electric discharge to turn on the cold cathode fluorescent lamp. In this case, a reflection member which is formed at an outside of the discharge tube is preferably formed of an aluminum sheet. In addition, the discharge tube includes a plurality of discharge tubes connected in series to each other and utilizes a single stabilizer. According to the present invention, the plurality of cold cathode fluorescent lamps may be turned on by using one stabilizer to save electric energy and increase lifespan of the lamps, thereby improving the durability.
