The present invention relates to a magnesium-containing implant having a first surface and a second surface, and unidirectionally eluting a drug; and to a preparation method thereof. All of the first and second surfaces are coated with a polyetherimide (PEI) layer, and a poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) layer containing a drug is coated on the PEI coating layer formed on the second surface. The drug is eluted toward the second surface side.
