The present invention relates to a wind power generation system and method using a weather prediction model. The wind power generation system using a weather prediction model comprises: a wind power generator which generates power using wind power; a prediction device which receives the weather information from a weather center to predict the direction and speed of wind according to the weather prediction model; and a control device which controls the wind power generator according to the prediction device.
