The present invention relates to a method to manufacture a Cu_2ZnSn(S,Se)_4 (CZTS)-based solar cell light-absorbing layer, and the CZTS-based solar cell light-absorbing layer manufactured thereof and, more specifically, relates to a method to manufacture the CZTS-based solar cell light-absorbing layer, comprising: (step 1) a step of forming a precursor thin film including at least one selected from a group consisting of Cu, Zn, Sn, S, and Se; and (step 2) a step of adjusting a band gap of the light-absorbing layer by simultaneously performing a process of selenization-sulfurization on the precursor film in step 1. According to the method to manufacture the CZTS-based solar cell light-absorbing layer, the ratios of Se and S within the solar cell light-absorbing layer can be adjusted; thereby providing a highly effective CZTS-based solar cell via an adjustment of the band gap. Additionally, raw materials of Se and S are simultaneously treated by heating, making the process simple; and the raw materials of Se and S are solid, making the process easier than an existing selenization-sulfurization process using gases.
