METHOD FOR CALIBRATING CAPACITOR MISMATCH IN SAR ADC

An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for correcting a mismatch of a capacitor in SAR ADC which includes the following steps: applying an input signal to the SAR ADC; sampling a weight value (Wk) of the capacitor arranged in the k-th capacitors of the SAR ADC; extracting a value (VE) including errors of all weights; and correcting a mismatch of the capacitor by calculating an average value by summing values of difference between samples of digital code values, which are ADC output values, and setting the average value as a weight value of the capacitor. Therefore, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a mismatch of the capacitor can be corrected by relatively simple calculation; and the size of a system can be maintained as an additional analog circuit or another ADC is not arranged.
