Disclosed are a data transmission apparatus based on a distributed network protocol and a method for encrypting data thereof. According to the present invention, when the data transmission apparatus based on the distributed network protocol transmits a message to a data reception apparatus, the data transmission apparatus generates a message changed by performing a circular shift operation with respect to predetermined data located in a certain data field of an original message and encrypts the changed message.
