It is an object of the present invention to further improve the hangover symptom relief effect of a composition containing Curcuma longa extract. More specifically, it is an object of the present invention to provide compositions capable of alleviating specific hangover symptoms, such as heartburn and a feeling of stuffy head. It was confirmed that a composition containing curcuma zedoaria extract together with curcuma extract effectively prevented the symptoms of a specific hangover, that is, heartburn and headache. This effect of the composition is particularly pronounced for human subjects with low aldehyde dehydrogenase activity.
