Disclosed are a method for generating an emotion expressing sentence and an apparatus thereof. According to the present invention, the apparatus: assigns a score in each word of an inputted sentence based on a word class of the each word; sets an arrangement initial value and an arrangement location based on an emotion for the sentence: and selecting a motion effect to be applied to a word selected based on the score assigned in the each word and then displaying the sentence as applying the selected movement effect. Therefore, the method can be applied to computer-mediated communications or the like by allowing the motion of each section of the sentence to be changed.
