The present invention relates to a bridge construction method capable of controlling horizontal displacement and preventing support from overturning, wherein the bridge construction method enables economical and easy construction of a temporary structure by controlling the horizontal displacement and preventing overturning on the support in the temporary structure of a girder using a steel pipe such as a truss steel girder. The bridge construction method includes: (a) a step of prefabricating the girder for a bridge, wherein barrier concrete for preventing overturning is formed in order for a part of both ends to be exposed, in a factory and extending an overturning prevention rod from the upper surface of the support of a bridge lower structure to the upper side; (b) a step of preventing the overturning on the temporary structure of the girder for a bridge by lifting the girder for a bridge and connecting the barrier concrete for preventing the overturning to the overturning prevention rod; and (c) a step of controlling the horizontal displacement in the transverse and longitudinal directions of the girder for a bridge at the support by supporting the partially exposed both ends of the girder for a bridge on the inner side of both brackets of a support device for controlling a horizontal force, which is installed on the upper side of a permanent bridge support of the bridge lower structure.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
