According to an embodiment of a method for selecting a reservoir model similar to the actual gas output of the shale gas reservoir, the method for selecting a reservoir model includes: a step (a) of generating a plurality of reservoir models (each of which has different initial conditions from each other) by using data about the reservoir, data about the cracks formed in the reservoir, and data about a fluid in the cracks as initial conditions; a step (b) of calculating the stimulated reservoir volume (SRV) of each reservoir model through the fast marching method (FMM); a step (c) of grouping the reservoir models into M (M is an integer equal to or greater than 2) number of clusters based on the calculated SRVs; and a step (d) of selecting a closest cluster to the actual output data of the reservoir among the M number of clusters.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
