The solar radiation receiving device (24) has a heat receiving portion (32) which is impinged with concentrated solar radiation, a heat dissipation portion (34), a continuous heat-carrying unit (30) made from a solid material, and a drive unit (36) for transporting the heat-carrying unit. An area of the heat-carrying unit is transported to the heat dissipation portion and is heated in the heat receiving portion. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a solar thermal power plant with a solar radiation concentrator; and (2) a method for using solar radiation energy.
