Embedded memory with management scheme for real-time applications

In an embedded computer system, memory is shared or allocated dynamically. First, the types of memories that are part of the system are determined. Thereafter, the amount of memory available for use is determined. The type of memory required by a program or application is determined along with the amount of space required. If the amount of memory space that can be allocated to the program in a first type of memory required is greater than or equal to the amount of memory space required by the computer program, then the program is loaded into the available memory. If the type of memory required is not available, or if insufficient memory is available, then other types of memory devices are considered and used if there is sufficient space in one or more of them.
