METHOD FOR SCANNING REDISOUS BURN GASES BY DOUBLE LIFTING OF VALVES FOR A TWO-STROKE ENGINE, IN PARTICULAR OF A DIESEL TYPE

The method involves providing a relaxation phase for a two-stroke internal combustion engine i.e. diesel engine, and carrying out a sequence of opening/closing of an exhaust valve (26) before introduction of air into a combustion chamber (14) during the relaxation phase. Another sequence of opening/closing of the exhaust valve is carried out after beginning of introduction of air and before the end of the introduction of air so as to carry out clearing of residual flue gas contained in the combustion chamber. An independent claim is also included for a two-stroke internal combustion engine.
