The invention relates to a purification filter (1) of a treatment line for domestic waste water, comprising: an inlet (2) at a high position, and an outlet (3) at a low position; a system (4) for dispensing the water to be treated at a high position, associated with the inlet (2); a means (5) for distributing the water to be treated, located below the system (4) for dispensing the water to be treated; and a filtration means (6) positioned between the means (5) for distributing the water to be treated and the outlet (3) for the treated water, said filtration means (6) including pine bark pieces, equipment including a pretreatment system connected to one or more filters (1), the use of pine bark pieces as a biofilter in the treatment of domestic waste water, as well as said pine bark pieces particularly intended to be part of a filtration means (6) for a filter (1).
