The device for the applying of mortar (2) on a foundation (3), a storage container (4) for the mortar, and a mortar delivery roller (5) with a first running axle (6) supporting the device. The device has an additional guide element or a second running axle (7) so that the device can travel over the ground without tipping and the delivery roller can be guided over the ground with a constant clearance (A) without contact. A drive unit is provided for the driving of the mortar delivery roller.
