Black iron oxide pigments with high tinting strength, resistivity towards reduction and oxidation for colouring polymers and building materials

Ferric oxide black pigment (I) (exhibiting: a color shift delta E* in high density polyethylene (HDPE) process according to DIN 53772 and DIN 6174 at 260[deg]C of less than 0.7 (particularly 0.5); oxidation stability at 140[deg]C according to IMCO-testing; and blend ratio for the low color characteristic value B 1/9 according to DIN 53235 part 1 and 2 of greater than 1.9), is new. An independent claim is also included for the preparation of (I).
