PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence on information on another character when a part of handwritten characters is corrected.SOLUTION: A computer executes processing of: correcting a character image and/or stroke information of a replacement character, in reference to coordinate information corresponding to a specific character and generated from character images and/or stroke information of a plurality of characters stored in a storage unit, in accordance with the specific character specified out of a plurality of characters input in handwriting and the replacement character input for replacing the specific character; and updating the character image and/or stroke information of the characters, by use of the corrected character image and/or stroke information of the replacement character.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
