PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting viable particles in liquid that can accurately detect viable particles in liquid.SOLUTION: The device for detecting viable particles in liquid is provided with: a heating flow channel 201 through which a liquid containing microbial particles flows; a microwave irradiation device 202 for radiating a microwave to the liquid containing microbial particles in the heating flow channel 201; an inspection flow channel 40 connected to the heating flow channel 201; an excitation light source 10 for radiating excitation light to the inspection flow channel 40; and a fluorescence detector 102 for detecting fluorescence emitted from the microbial particles in the inspection flow channel 40 irradiated with the excitation light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
