Coherent Fluctuation Nephelometry: a High-Sensitivity Method for Detecting Particles in Liquids

摘要

A new method for detecting micron and submicron particles in liquids by measuring the intensity fluctuations of coherent radiation scattered from these particles is described and compared to available techniques. It is shown that this method allows the record-breaking detection sensitivities of 10~3 - 10~4 particles/ml to be attained at a simple design of the analyzer.
