PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a growth state detector that can detect a growth state of a plant in an extremely simple manner and at a low cost.;SOLUTION: A device for detecting a growth state of a plant is constituted to have: a movable member 12 capable of adjusting its position while moving in accordance with growth of a plant; support members 13a to 13d provided opposing to the movable member 12; receiving means 15 which is provided for one of the opposing support members (13b, 13d) and arranged for a growth direction of the plant; transmission means 14 which is provided for the other one of opposing support members (13a, 13c), and transmits detection wave which is impermeable or semi-permeable to the plant toward the receiving means 15; determination means 21 for outputting a determination signal when a value of the detection wave received by the receiving means 15 is changed by a fixed value from a present reference value; and moving means for moving the movable member until a value of the detection wave returns to the reference value when the determination signal is output.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
