PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a performance check method of a UV ray irradiation device that can check a UV ray irradiation performance of the UV ray irradiation device after introduced to a premise, facility, and the like.;SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a performance check method of a UV ray irradiation device 1 is provided. The method includes the steps of: causing a reference UV ray irradiation device 5 to conduct UV ray irradiation with respect to treatment water W1 containing a substance decomposable or chemically changeable due to an ultraviolet ray, and calculating a reaction rate coefficient of the substance specific to the treatment water by using obtained substance concentration prior to and after the UV ray irradiation; and causing the UV ray irradiation device 1 to conduct UV ray irradiation with respect to the treatment water W1 containing the substance decomposable or chemically changeable due to an ultraviolet ray, and calculating volume average luminance of the UV ray irradiation device 1 by using the obtained substance concentration prior to and after UV ray irradiation and the reaction rate coefficient.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
