PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To globally evaluate the reliability of a distance image signal.SOLUTION: A confidence coefficient generation device of the present invention comprises: acquisition means for acquiring a distance image signal that includes distance information indicating the distance to a subject in each of a plurality of pixels; and generation means for generating a global confidence coefficient that represents the reliability of a global area of the distance image signal, the generation means having a first generation processing unit for generating a local confidence coefficient that represents the reliability of the distance information in each of the plurality of pixels, an area division processing unit for dividing the distance image signal into a plurality of areas on the basis of the distance information, and a second generation unit for generating the global confidence coefficient in each of the plurality of areas on the basis of the local confidence coefficient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
