PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a respiratory rate of a subject faster from a moving image photographing a subject.SOLUTION: A respiratory rate monitoring device acquires a first image group constituted of consecutive frame images of N (N: integer of 2 or more) sheets of a moving image, and a second image group constituted of consecutive frame images of N sheets deviated by the frame images of S sheets; calculates correlation coefficient between an image feature value of the first image group and an image feature value of the second image group; changes the number of sheets S of the frame images being a difference between the first image group and the second image group; and determines whether or not a respiratory cycle can be identified by transitivity of the correlation coefficient to the change. The respiratory rate monitoring device resets the number of frames S when the respiratory cycle cannot be identified.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3B
