PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond composite capable of shortening a separation time between a substrate and a diamond layer, a production method of the substrate and diamond, diamond obtained from the diamond composite, and a tool with the diamond.SOLUTION: A production method of a diamond composite 5 includes a step for preparing a substrate 1 that has grooves 4 on the principal plane and contains a diamond seed crystal, a step for forming a non-diamond layer 2 at a specified depth from the surface of the principal plane of the substrate 1 by ion implantation to the substrate 1, and a step for developing a diamond layer 3 on the principal plane of the substrate 1 by a vapor phase synthetic process. A production method of diamond containing a diamond layer 3 includes a step for separating the non-diamond layer 2 from the substrate 1 by electrochemically etching the non-diamond layer 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
