PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "a video signal abnormality detection device" capable of detecting the abnormality of a video signal from a camera or the like and quickly reporting the abnormality without impairing the processing performance of a CPU and with a simple configuration.;SOLUTION: When there is a phase difference between an external synchronization signal in the video signal and an internal synchronization signal self-travelled by a PWM output part 30, a comparison signal is outputted by a comparison part 40. When the comparison signal is inputted to a control part 20, the control part 20 outputs an error signal to a video processing part 60.
