TORQUE CALIBRATION DEVICE USING ELECTROMAGNETIC FORCE AND TORQUE CALIBRATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration device which enables highly precise calibration to be executed even for minute torque in a manner that uses torque generated by electromagnetic force in place of a conventional actual load type torque calibration device.SOLUTION: A calibration device comprises: magnetic circuits with different electric poles arranged opposite to each other 8 and 9 which generate a magnetic field of magnetic flux density B; a coil 7 which is inserted into the magnetic circuits with different electric poles arranged opposite to each other; a motor 2 which rotates the coil 7 with a specific rotational angular velocity ω and immobilizes the same at a specific angular position; a rotary encoder which detects the angular position p and the rotational angular velocity ω of the coil 7; a voltage measurement section which measures induced electromotive force V generated in the coil 7 when the motor 2 is rotated at the rotational angular velocity ω; and a memory which stores the maximum value Vof the induced electromotive force V and the angular position pwhen the induced electromotive force V is maximized. A CPU 10 immobilizes the coil 7 at the angular position pagainst torque by applying electric current I to the coil 7 and inputs output torque of the motor 2 generated when the coil 7 is immobilized into a torque converter to be calibrated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
