PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foreign substance introduction technique achieving improvement in efficiency of introducing foreign substance into a cell.;SOLUTION: A foreign substance introduction device 10 introduces a foreign substance into cells by applying stress waves to a cell. The foreign substance introduction device 10 comprises: cell fixing means 30 configured to temporarily fixes a cell 60 of an introduction subject onto the surface of a platy member using an electrostatic force and to release the fixation of the cell 60; and stress wave generating means 40 for irradiating the cell 60 fixed to the platy member with stress wave. The cell fixing means 30 may have a plurality of electrode portions 32 provided in a one-dimensional or two-dimensional array shape along the platy member. The stress wave generating means 40 may have a plurality of wave sources 45 provided in a one-dimensional or two-dimensional array so as to locally irradiate positions corresponding to the respective electrode portions 32 with stress waves.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
