VEHICLE CRIME PREVENTION SYSTEM AND VEHICLE CRIME PREVENTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention technique capable of accurately detecting a crime against a vehicle using a technique of an electronic side mirror.SOLUTION: A camera provided outside of a vehicle takes an image of a rear side including a side surface part of the vehicle and the taken image is displayed on a display provided inside of the vehicle. When data on the image taken by the camera is acquired by the parked vehicle and an abnormality of the side surface part of the vehicle is detected in the image, a predetermined measure is executed to prevent a crime against the vehicle. With this configuration, since the side surface part of the vehicle is contained in the image, it is possible to capture a person or an object not only simply approaching the vehicle but also touching the side surface part of the vehicle. If the abnormality occurs to the side surface part of the vehicle, it is strongly suspected that something unjust is ongoing and it is, therefore, possible to accurately detect the crime against the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
