PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle peripheral obstacle notification device and a vehicle peripheral obstacle notification system which are capable of notifying a user of a state of a periphery of a vehicle immediately before the vehicle starts traveling.SOLUTION: A periphery monitoring device 30 determines presence/absence of an obstacle in frontward and backward directions of a vehicle 1 when a BCM 10 receives an unlocking instruction for a door lock of the vehicle 1. If the periphery monitoring device 30 determines that an obstacle is present in the frontward direction or the backward direction, the BCM 10 performs notification in such a manner that it is determinable as to in which direction the obstacle is present by performing lighting control of turn signal lamps 6 that are provided to a front right side, a front left side, a rear right side and a rear left side of the vehicle 1. It performs the notification by using all turn signal lamps 6 of the vehicle 1 even when an obstacle is present in only one of the frontward direction or the backward direction of the vehicle 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
