PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of lithium titanate that improving reaction of lithium compounds and titan compounds, reducing generation of auxiliary phase having different composition and a residue of an unreacted raw material, and being easy to grind.SOLUTION: Titanium compound powder containing titanium oxide and lithium compound powder containing water-soluble lithium compound are dry-blended. Wet mixture powder dissolving a part of the water-soluble lithium compound is provided by adding aqueous solution of a quantity equivalent to under 65% of cavity quantity calculated from oil absorption of the titanium compound powder to the blended powder. The wet mixture powder is dried and burned.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
