PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the defect of a build-up layer resulting from the blow hole of a cast raw-material and a residual material in a minute defect on a surface.;SOLUTION: A laser built-up method according to the mode of an embodiment comprises: the step of forming an annular facing groove 11 in the combustion chamber side open end of the port of a cylinder head raw material shape 10; the step of burnishing the surface of the facing groove 11; and the step of applying a laser beam to the facing groove 11 while feeding metal powder thereto, thereby to form a build-up layer 16 on the facing groove 11.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
