WAKEFULNESS MAINTENANCE SYSTEM AND ON-VEHICLE UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that achieves conversation between the driver and a person outside of the vehicle and enhances safety of vehicle traveling by coping with driving with inattentive consciousness in a system for maintaining wakefulness of the driver.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle unit and an out-of-vehicle terminal mutually communicate to convey a voice call between the driver on vehicle and an operator of the out-of-vehicle terminal. The on-vehicle unit, when the voice call is being performed, transmits front image data representing a video in front of the vehicle to the out-of-vehicle terminal. The out-of-vehicle terminal, when conveying the voice call, displays to the operator a front image D4 based on the front image data transmitted by the on-vehicle unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
