PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for monitoring structural health of a structure.SOLUTION: A system includes a distributed network 120 of nanoparticle ink-based piezoelectric sensor assemblies 116, 130 deposited onto a structure 30 to be monitored for structural health 172. Each assembly 116, 130 has a plurality of nanoparticle ink-based piezoelectric sensors 110, a plurality of conductive ink power sources, and communication wire assemblies 140 for interconnecting the plurality of piezoelectric sensors 110. The system also includes an ink deposition apparatus 142 for depositing the distributed network 120 of nanoparticle ink-based piezoelectric sensor assemblies 116, 130 onto the structure 30. The system further includes an electrical power source 178 for providing electrical power to the distributed network 120. The system further includes a data communications network 179 for retrieving and processing structural health data 174 of the structure 30 via one or more signals from the piezoelectric sensors 110.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
