PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a characteristic vibration component of a can body section other than a can bottom section included in hitting test sound to precisely determine quality of hermetic seal of the can body.;SOLUTION: According to a hitting test method, electromagnetic impact is applied to a can bottom section of an inverted can body C and quality of hermetic seal of the can body C is determined based on hitting sound emitted by the can bottom section. Electromagnetic impact is applied to the can bottom section with vibration of a can body C2 being suppressed while a pair of endless form belts 40 disposed at both sides of a conveyor 30 for conveying the can body C nip the can body section C2 to carry the can body C.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
