PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catcher mitt capable of preventing a thumb and a base part of the thumb from being sprained.;SOLUTION: An instrument 10 for preventing a finger from being sprained is internally attached and fixed to an area from a thumb bag 6 of a mitt body 2 to a hand insertion opening 3. The instrument for preventing the finger from being sprained comprises an approximately cylindrical thumb protection part 11 for wrapping a thumb S, and an approximately U-shaped thumb base protection part 12 which is provided in such a manner as to continue into the base of the thumb protection part 11 and which wraps a part corresponding to a metacarpal of the thumb S, across an area from a base part Sa of the thumb S to a wrist W.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
