PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquefaction damage reduction method by constructing a soil improvement body easy in construction, environment-friendly and low in cost, for the purpose of reducing damage due to liquefaction of the ground, intended for a small-scale building.SOLUTION: In a liquefaction damage reduction method, a hole 18 is bored in a foundation ground 2 on which a small-scale building 1 is scheduled to be built, and a lattice-like and timbering ladder barrel wood 19 is installed on the bottom surface of the hole 18. On the ladder barrel wood, an aggregate 20 of large-sized sandbag formed by wrapping a plurality of large-sized sandbags 20b filled with sediment collected on site in a civil engineering sheet 20a is piled up in a layer form so as to establish a soil improvement body 17 in which the ladder barrel wood 19 and the aggregate 20 of large-sized sandbag are integrated, and the periphery is filled back with sediment 21, and a small-scale building 1 is built on the soil improvement body 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
