PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an impairment length with high reliability and high accuracy.SOLUTION: An impairment length measuring system comprises: vibrators (21a and 21b) applying ultrasonic vibration to an object to be measured; vibration detection sensors (22a and 22b) for detecting vibration waves oscillated from the vibrators and propagated through the object to be measured; and arithmetic processing units (28 and 29) for controlling oscillation of the vibrators, arithmetically processing detection signals of the vibration detection sensors and analyzing the vibration waves detected by the vibration detection sensors. Two or more vibrators or two or more vibration detection sensors are disposed side by side in a direction orthogonal with a direction of vibration propagation so as to obtain three or more kinds of vibration reception results of different propagation routes without moving mutual installation positions. The arithmetic processing units are adapted to calculate times of arrival of maximum peaks of three or more kinds of vibration waves detected by one or more vibration detection sensors, respectively, compute an impairment length on the basis of three or more calculated times of arrival, and determine the impairment length to be outputted.
