PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blowfish poison inspection method which may be effected without impairing value of blowfish liver as a food product and to provide a blowfish liver food product excellent in safety obtained by the blowfish poison inspection method with a favorable appearance and a food texture of original blowfish liver.SOLUTION: By letting a smooth surface of a blowfish liver 1 as a front side, a contact surface with a digestive tract as a back side, and a bond part 2 with a hepatic portal vein as an upper part, tetrodotoxin in a specific part of the front right side lower part near center of the blowfish liver is measured, and edibility of the blowfish is determined.
