PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect wrong phase sequence wiring in an AC motor drive system for driving an AC motor having windings electrically separated from each other.;SOLUTION: An AC motor drive system 1 comprises: a first inverter 11 connected to one of ends of each winding of an AC motor 30; an inverter 12 connected to the other of the ends of each winding of the AC motor 30; a current detector 14 for detecting phase current flowing in each phase of the AC motor 30; and an AC motor wiring abnormality detection device 13 that controls output voltages of the first inverter 11 and second inverter 12 so that windings of the same phase have the same voltage and windings of at least one phase have a voltage differing from those of windings of the other phases, and, when phase current other than zero has been detected by the current detector 14, determines that some phases of output of the first inverter 11 are not connected to the same phases of output of the second inverter 12 through the AC motor 30.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
