PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrolyzed water: which prevents decomposition of HClO that is an active factor of the electrolyzed water upon contacting with light or air; which prevents deactivation of HClO after mixing with a composition containing protein or an amino acid; and which can exhibit an antioxidant ability, an antiviral ability, an antibacterial ability, a sterilization ability, an anti-mold ability, a freshness-keeping ability, a deodorization ability and the like for a long term.SOLUTION: Chloride powder on which precious metal nanoparticle is deposited by physical vapor deposition is provided as a production raw material of electrolyzed water. There is provided an electrolytic solution in which the production raw material of electrolyzed water is dissolved in water or a dilute hydrochloric aqueous solution. There is provided electrolyzed water by applying electrolysis to the electrolytic solution. A method for producing the electrolytic solution comprises depositing precious metal nanoparticle on chloride powder by physical vapor deposition and dissolving the chloride powder in water. A method for producing electrolyzed water comprises applying the electrolytic solution to electrolysis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
