PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling usage of medicine in which the usage of the medicine can be confirmed while sealing a medicine container after use, and to provide a method for controlling the usage of the medicine using the device for controlling the usage of the medicine.SOLUTION: A device for controlling usage of medicine includes: a first container rotating roller 23 with a rotating shaft 21 arranged substantially horizontally; a second container rotating roller 24 with a rotating shaft 21A arranged substantially in parallel to the rotating shaft 21 of the first container rotating roller 23 and rotatable in the same direction with the first container rotating roller 23, and constituted movably in the separating direction to the first container rotating roller 23; an imaging device 19 for recognizing predetermined information attached to the medicine container stored in the container inputted between the first container rotating roller 23 and the second container rotating roller 24; and a weighing device 6 disposed at the lower part between the first container rotating roller 23 and the second container rotating roller 24 and measuring the weight of the inputted container.
