PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding flaw outer appearance inspection system and a welding flaw outer appearance inspection method that can inspect a welding flaw, using an image irradiated with laser light.SOLUTION: The welding scratch outer appearance inspection system is configured to comprise: a laser irradiation device 5; an imaging device 7; movement means 8; welding position acquisition means; storage means and flaw detection means. The laser irradiation device irradiates laser light so as to traverse a welding line of a welding part 3. The imaging device photographs irradiated laser light. The movement means is movable along the welding line, while supporting the laser irradiation device and the imaging device, and the welding position acquisition means acquires a welding position photographed by the imaging device. The storage means stores an image photographed and acquired by the imaging device and the welding position photographed by the imaging device in association with each other. The flaw detection means is intended to detect the welding flaw on the basis of the image, and identifies a position of the welding flaw on the basis of the welding position associated with the image. A judgement of presence/absence of a welding flaw and a dimension measurement of the welding flaw are performed on the basis of a shape of the laser light traversing the welding line included in the image.
