PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise-reducing method of a variable exhaust nozzle for supersonic aircraft which uses such a lightweight and simple mechanism as not to enlarge a device while securing propulsion performance and further to provide a device thereof.SOLUTION: An exhaust nozzle for supersonic aircraft having a noise-reducing function is connected to the rear side of an engine and has a variable-shape mechanism so as to assume, upon taking-off, such a cross-sectional shape that a plurality of radial groove parts are formed on an inner wall surface in order to induce longitudinal vortex on a nozzle tip region and assume, upon cruising, a tapered and divergent cross-sectional distribution because the groove parts are blocked.
