PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely predict a load amount represented by a power consumption amount and the like.SOLUTION: A load amount prediction device comprises: a registration unit for registering data including a first load amount measured periodically, a second load amount measured on the day before, and a third load amount measured a week earlier, as history data; an acquisition unit for acquiring data including a fourth load amount measured on the day before a prediction day and a fifth load amount measured a week earlier than the prediction day, as a prediction parameter; a selection unit for selecting history data similar to the prediction parameter from the registered history data, on the basis of the prediction parameter; and a prediction unit for taking the first load amount included in the selected history data, as a load amount on the prediction day. When the prediction day, the day before the prediction day, or the day a week earlier than the prediction day is a singular day, the acquisition unit acquires a prediction parameter obtained by replacing at least one of the fourth and fifth load amounts with a load amount measured on a substitute day determined according to a singular day setting pattern.
