PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container-type data center for reducing power consumption caused by the driving of a fan and a method for controlling the container-type data center.;SOLUTION: The container-type data center includes a container 11. A rack 13 is provided in the container 11 and is mounted with a server 31. A fan unit 12 is provided in the container 11. In the fan unit 12, a large-sized fan 122 and a first small-sized fan 123 and a second small-sized fan 124 whose diameters are smaller than that of the large-sized fan 122 are alternately arranged in an opposed surface facing the rack 13. A CPU temperature sensor 311 measures the temperature of a heat generation component incorporated in the server 31. A fan operation management part 321 controls the rotation of the large-sized fan 122 and the rotations of the first small-sized fan 123 and the second small-sized fan 124, based on the CPU temperature sensor 311.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
