The method includes measuring a dimmerization angle of a voltage received from a dimmer, determining a target brightness of light to be emitted from the ssl source corresponding to the dimmerization angle, determining a current brightness of light currently emitted by the dimmer. ssl source, and determining a rate of change based on current brightness and target brightness.
